Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic Preschool Teaching to join our team! As a Lead Teacher, you will be in charge of setting up your classroom in Learning Centers, oversee your teachers Assistant and turn in weekly lesson plans and Monthly Newsletters. Teach weekly themes, letters, colors, shapes, numbers and how to be kind and compassionate. The Lead Teachers goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. Must be compassionate, creative, and have a passion for teaching young children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students individually and in small groups
- Supervise students in the classroom and playground
- Enforce classroom rules and procedures
- Communicate with parents and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a lead teacher of at least 2 years is preferred
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a fingerprints/background check
- Negative TB test
- Mandatory training classes per child care licensing
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
